What It’s Really Like to Spend a Wedding Weekend at Castello di Ristonchi

Planning a destination wedding in Tuscany isn’t just about the ceremony it’s about the entire experience! From the moment your guests arrive at Castello di Ristonchi, they’re stepping into something unforgettable: a multi-day celebration that feels more like a dream summer camp for grownups (with better wine and no curfew).

If you’ve ever wondered what the flow of a wedding weekend in Italy actually looks like, let us walk you through it, from arrival to final hugs.

Day 1: Arrival & Welcome Pizza Night

Your guests begin their adventure by winding up the scenic road to our hilltop castle wedding venue in Tuscany. After check-in, they settle into their rooms with welcome bags, fresh air, and a view they won’t stop talking about. They can head to the pool, the bar, get some food, take a walk or a nap.

That evening, everyone gathers under the stars for Pizza Night! Our wood-fired oven comes alive, the Aperol starts flowing, and laughter echoes through the olive groves. For many guests, it’s the first time they’re meeting. By the second round, they’re already family.

Day 2: The Wedding Day

You’ll wake up in a castle. That’s already a win.

Your morning will be filled with breakfasts with your besties, a dip in the pool, hair, makeup, music, and mimosas while your guests explore the grounds and grab a panini or two from the truck. The ceremony? Hosted on the lawn with an incredible backdrop of olive groves and rolling hills. If rain visits, we’ll head to the church. Wherever it is, it’ll be magic.

Then comes the aperitivo with live music, the wedding dinner under the stars, and finally… the Rave Cave party with open bar where shoes come off, playlists come on, and no one wants the night to end.

Day 3: Poolside Relaxation & Rehearsal Aperitivo

Wake up to birdsong and mountain spring water coffee. No alarms. No commute. Just a peaceful morning the brunch of your dreams, join the Ristonchi farm tour and taste some of the products made onsite.

Guests spend the day lounging by the pool, hiking the forest trails. Lunch is a BBQ at the pool, with a special appearance by the gelato cart! That evening, you and your guests will learn how to make pasta from scratch together and eat it topped with your choice of sauces.

Day 4: Farewell Brunch & Soft Goodbyes

You’ve just had the best weekend of your life. Now it’s time for one last breakfast together. We serve up local pastries, fresh fruit, and endless coffee as hugs are exchanged and stories from the night before are retold again and again.

Some guests leave. Others stay another night or two. Everyone leaves with a full heart.

Why This Isn’t Just a Wedding. It’s a Shared Memory.

At Castello di Ristonchi, weddings are not just events they’re immersive, joyful, soulful experiences that stretch across days, deepen relationships, and make people say, “Can we do this every year?”

This is what you give your guests when you choose a wedding venue in Tuscany that’s more than a venue. It’s a retreat, celebration, and reunion rolled into one—and it’s all yours.
